ABOUT THE CONTEST

The EDDIE WOULD GO Essay Contest has been conducted since 2006. We are the only essay competition in the State of Hawaii that has both English and Hawaiian language categories. Students may decide which language to use for their essays.

All students in grades 7th, 8th, 9th & 10th from all public, private, and charter schools in the State of Hawaii, are eligible to enter the essay contest. This includes students that are homeschooled or participating in Distance Learning on a remote basis.
