The Directors of the Eddie Aikau Foundation and the Aikau Family would like to congratulate the 30 Students who have been selected as winners of the 2022 Eddie Would Go Essay Contest. We will be honoring these students at an awards ceremony on April 2, 2022.

We have been conducting this competition since 2006 and we are the only essay contest in the State that has an English and Hawaiian language division. This year we had an amazing 384 English essays submitted for judging and 49 essays written in Hawaiian.

We'd also like to thank over 70 volunteers who donated their time to the difficult task of selecting the winning essays from so many excellent submissions. We'd like to express our sincere appreciation to every student who participated and the parents and teachers who supported & encouraged their efforts. We hope that all of you enjoyed learning about Eddie Aikau and that you may find inspiration from his legacy of aloha.
