40 years ago Eddie Aikau lost his life while attempting to get help for the crew of the voyaging canoe Hokule’a, which had capsized in the Kaiwi Channel. To honor his memory and his legacy, the Eddie Aikau Foundation is pleased to announce that Paul Hornyak, a 62 year old marathon swimmer, will be making the 27 mile swim from Molokai to Oahu in the Kaiwi Channel during the 2018 Labor Day Weekend, Aug 31st to Sept 3rd (subject to weather & ocean conditions).

Please join us in honoring and supporting this 40th Anniversary- Eddie Aikau- 2018 Memorial Kaiwi Channel Swim with your donation. It not only helps The Eddie Aikau Foundation (a 501c3 charitable organization) to continue their activities which give back to the Hawaiian community, but your donation will keep Eddie's memory alive as one of the greatest Hawaiian legends of all time. EDDIE WOULD GO!!!
